Fall Sports UpdateMen's Cross Country - Congratulations to Coach Luke Wiens and our men's cross country team for finishing 3rd at the 5A Regional Meet this past Saturday. This qualifies the entire team for the State Meet held at the Lawrence Rim Rock Farm on Saturday November 2. The 5A men's race begins at 12:55 pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students K-12.

Women's Cross Country - Congratulations to Coach Rick Brading and our women's cross country team for finishing 2nd at the 5A Regional Meet this past Saturday. This qualifies the entire team for the State Meet held at the Lawrence Rim Rock Farm on Saturday November 2. The 5A women's race begins at 11:10 am. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students K-12.

Football - The regular season has ended and the state football playoffs begin this week. Seaman (2-6) will play Olathe West (5-3) @ 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31. The game was moved to Thursday due to several Olathe schools sharing the same game field. Thursday’s game will be played at the College Boulevard Activity Center (CBAC), located at 11031 S. Valley Rd. in Olathe, KS 66061. This is only a 69 min. drive from SHS to the CBAC. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students K-12.

Mens’ Soccer - Congratulations to Coach Jacob Kirmer and his mens’ soccer team as they finished the regular season with an 8-1 Centennial League record and an overall record of 11-5. 5A Regional play begins this Tuesday, October 29. Seaman will host Kansas City Schlage (6-9) starting at 5:00 p.m. Admission will be $6 for adults and $5 for students K-12. Due to this game being a KSHSAA sponsored activity, we will not be able to accept any passes. Please remember the start time is at 5:00 p.m. here at the Seaman Soccer Complex.

Women's Golf - Congratulations to Coach Julie McLaughlin and our lady golfers. They finished 2nd in the City Tournament, 2nd at the Centennial League Meet, won the 5A Regional Tournament, and then finished in 8th place at the 5A State Meet. Freshman Lois Deeter medaled and finished in 6th place. Senior Molly Biggs also qualified for the second day of competition and finished in 31st place.

Women’s Tennis - Congratulations to Coach Mark Orozco and our lady tennis team. They finished 2nd in the City Tournament, 4th at the Centennial League Meet, 2nd at the 5A Regional Tournament, and then finished in 8th place at the 5A State Meet. The doubles team of Emma Biggs (Sr.) and Grace Unruh (Soph.) medaled and finished in 7th place. Singles player Elise Schreiner (Jr.) also medaled and finished in 11th place at 5A State.

Volleyball - Congratulations to Coach Tatiana Schafer and our lady volleyball team. They finished the regular season with an outstanding record of 28-10. This past Saturday they made it to the championship game in the 5A Sub-State Tournament by defeating Blue Valley Southwest in two games and then loosing to the eventual champion, Lenexa-St. James Academy (36-2) in two very competitive games.
