Superintendent Remarks

Dr. Noble highlighted the many opportunities available to students in Seaman School District. "Our philosophy has been and I hope continues to be 'Learning Without Limits' removing any barrier possible that exists for kids," said Noble. Noble highlighted the strategic plan measure of having 100% of SMS and SHS students participate in two or more activities, clubs, or activities because students who are engaged in their schools are more successful. Dr. Noble reminded the board and community to look at the entire picture or the "whole child approach" when measuring student success and not pick and choose one measure.

President Remarks

Frank Henderson thanked the community for responding to the online survey and focus groups to help the board identify key characteristics in superintendent candidates. The Kansas Association of School Boards received nearly 900 survey responses from the community. "The board has been working very hard and diligently on this and we have narrowed it down to three applicants," said Henderson. The board will begin interviewing this week and hopes to be able to offer a contract to the new superintendent at the conclusion of the process. The community is invited to a Meet & Greet at the Seaman Education Center from 5:00-5:30 pm on March 22, 23, and 24 to meet each candidate.
