Learning Without Limits

thankboe

January is School Board Appreciation Month. School board members are unpaid public servants and they put in a lot more hours than one can probably imagine. Our board has always kept what’s best for students as their focus and we are incredibly grateful for these men and women.

The board will also receive recognition at halftime of the boy’s home basketball game against Manhattan on Friday, January 14.

President Remarks

Mr. Henderson shared a video on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act is the main federal statute governing special education for children. Today, IDEA protects the rights of over six million students with disabilities. Mr. Henderson will be traveling to Washington, D.C. later this month as a member of the KASB delegation to continue advocating for public education issues, and providing for the needs of all students regardless of the differing abilities they may have.
