President Remarks

I want to thank my fellow board members, Dr. Noble and our administrators who keep us operating daily. Of course our wonderful teachers, obviously our parents, and most importantly our students for allowing me the great honor of serving as your board president during this incredibly challenging school year. I've learned much about myself and this great place that we all call home and I consider it one of my greatest achievements to give back and serve this wonderful community.

Board of Education Consent Agenda

The consent agenda contains items packaged into one agenda item. They are often routine and garner very little discussion. A full list of consent items can be found by visiting the BoardDocs website

Learning Without Limits

PLTW Distinguished Schools
Seaman elementary schools and middle school are recognized as a 2021-21 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School. They are one of just 468 schools across the U.S. to receive this honor for providing broad access to transformative learning opportunities for students through PLTW Launch and Gateway.

"This is the second time that this award has been given to our elementary schools," said Megan Nussbaum. "This award is given for the implementation of STEM based programming." Seaman School District began teaching PLTW classes in 2016.

School Bus Safety State Champion - Nelven Smith
The USD 345 Transportation Department attended the Kansas School Bus Safety Conference and entered a competition to test their skills on a course against drivers from all over the state. Steve Huddleston placed 3rd at regionals and 6th in the state; Sharon Smith placed 2nd at regionals and 4th in the state; and Nelven Smith placed 1st at regionals, 1st in the state, and 4th overall in the entire state competition. Congratulations to our amazing team of bus drivers!
